The model is a dependency. The product is still software: APIs, identity, logs, tests, cost controls. Prompt text is not a specification. We treat providers as replaceable where we can, and we measure token cost the same way we measure hosting.
AI software development sits next to the systems you already run. Classification that never reaches the case management tool is a prototype. We integrate, or we do not take the job.
